Is there a protection tree in the district also in your neighborhood?
One of protection trees in Ota Ward, No. 411 Ginkgo tree.

Here is Boulangerie Bonheur which I introduced before.

I bought black vinegar at a convenience store next door, but I dropped its straw (Three seconds rule wasn't applied this time). I just sucked from a tiny hole to drink it up.

Right after going into Umeyashiki Shopping street and I found...
A savory look rice cake and o-hagi which is a rice cake covered with sweetened bean-paste.

Inside of a bakery is like this.

Passed a shopping street and got into a small back alley,
suddenly this deja vu of a single track rushed me... NOT! Sorry.

I met Mr. Park Chung Gyu, Director of Korean Climbathon Federation, in Seoul, Korea, two weeks ago.

We talked about how Japanese and Korean trail running lovers communicate next year. I will introduce information at this blog when it's fixed.

He kindly brought a present--it's said "Korean Climbathon* Federation."
* Meaning "marathon in the mountains." They created a new term.

TRB22-1: Boulangerie ichi

The Bread Running in Japan after a long absense.
To be honest, I've have dull pain on my right knee. So it is a rehab run today.

There you go.

Though having pain with my knee, the reason why I thought "I gotta do The Bread Running!" was that I got an Email newsletter from TBR2-2 boulangerie deRien. It said "it's about time to enjoy Campagne of chestnut." However, Hiroshima is far, of course!

But there must be some breads with autumn charms like chestnut or fig here in Tokyo. I just pop out with my running shoes on.

Bingo! Chestnut's bread!

And fig tart! Lucky me :)

The bakery is a cozy size, filled up by about 8 customers. More than several different kinds breads are next to each other at shelves.

You can see an oven right there. Freshly baked breads are come out one after another.

ps: An image of Brioche at wikipedia in English looks similar with...
canned bread for an emergency.

Well, Marie Antoinette said "Qu'ils mangent de la brioche" and it's translated "if they don't have bread (when they are so hungry), why don't they eat Brioche instead?" in Japanese. So, its look should be similar with bread for an emergency... NOT!
