coin locker navigation

Transport in Singapore

Experience is the best teacher.

A Design Film Festival 2014
I used subway, bus, and taxi while I was in Singapore for Design Film Festival 2014.

There is no sign shown inside of a bus about which bus stop would be next, so we need to choose one of them to get off a bus.
1) Ask a driver or other passengers for help in advance.
2) Rely on the bus route map brochure that is only sometimes put in the car.
3) Read
really really small characters on a bus stop board super quick from the car before the door is closed.

FYI, I past seven stops as my first bus ride.

Better leave it to a specialist.

Since I heard from my friend that we can ask any questions about Korean language to The National Institute The Korean Language by Twitter, I gave it a try.
I was surprised that they really sent me such a long reply.

"If you send us questions about Korean language here by 9:00 am, we will get back to you with the answer until 2:00 pm on the same day, if by 2:00 pm, it'd be by 6:00 pm the same day, if after 2:00 pm, it'd be by 2:00 pm the following day (We won't answer weekends)"

Is there any similar service in other countries too?

To tell the truth, I had the oxygen inhalation in the ambulance after a goal of The 82nd Seoul Marathon.

There was also a silent prayer for the victims of 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami before a start, various feelings and emotions were mixed before a marathon started, I was crying while running, and the was sobbing at the end. So it was difficult to breath well temporarily, I was in a mini feature in the morning news as "image" which is something like this: "The marathon should be for getting better health, but some of them who damage their own health." I was in that news as "image of those who."

Yap, this pink TABIO socks is on my foot, indeed.

Although I made sub 4 (yes, I did), I didn't (couldn't) do decent stretch after a marathon. Therefore my legs are really stiff after returning to Japan, so I decided to see an expert, Idaten Chiryoshitsu, for a drastic treatment (for my standard).

Dr. Konno, The director, saw me this time and I had my first acupuncture + electrotherapy on my lower back and feet!

"Doc, would you please set the lowest current of electricity!" ...well, who said to have drastic treatment?
These pictures were taken without looking a monitor properly.

This is my back, taken by Dr. Konno.

Where muscles are layered, just regular massage can not reach to the deep enough. Needles give a small damage to muscle and let electricity run to make better blood flow. Needles on stiff muscle make platelets and white blood cells gather to that spots where needles are because they recognize them as foreign substances and what they try to repair leads to a recovery. I see.

service: cogicogi

I wrote about Palace Cycling around the Imperial Palace inTokyo before. Now share-cycle cogicogi offers service which is "borrow and return a bike anywhere you want."

Bike "port" map. You can pick up and drop a bike at pink spots, which includes Starbucks.

It seems to be only around Shibuya and Omotesando area, but it'd be good if it'd cover more larger area.

Wow, you can enjoy an indoor bouldering.

He was so quick to climb up in seconds.

I've tried it once near Kokubunji before, but when I reached at the top, I couldn't stop shaking my knee... I guess I prefer to touch a ground ;-p

There are various sizes of special shoes.
You must choose smaller size than your regular size because power must get focused on a point where you choose to put your feet on. You may feel like to get your feet binding!

They open until late night weekday so that many people after work come by, they said.
This place is used to be a printing lab, too.
"My son does bouldering and he opens this." His father who look after a store at that night told me.

I see, Shizuoka would be the edge of South.

"You are what you eat"
There is a saying "You are what you eat." There are several interpretations, but one of them is you are made of what you eat, in other words, your health comes from diet.
