なんでもWiki（こちらも何でも載っていますが）によると、一日に8万個のベーグルを作るらしいですよ！ で、映画「You Got Mail」とかにも出ている、と。トム・ハンクスが言うセリフ「夜にH&H Bagelsの地下に小麦粉を積み込むトラックがどうのこうの…」のくだりがそれです。
According to Wikipedia (this also does everything, doesn't it?), they produce 80,000 bagels A DAY! Also they are in a film "You Got Mail." The line by Tom Hanks is "every night a truck pulls up to H&H Bagels and pumps about a ton of flour into the ground? The air is absolutely amazing."

やっとパン・ラン in NYも最後までたどり着きました。

ちなみにパン・ラン12-1-1で訪れたMARUICHI BAGELの稲木さんはEss-A-Bagelで修行されました。NY仕込みのなるほど納得のベーグルです。
btw Inagi-san from MARUICHI BAGEL whom I visited TBR 12-1-1 has trained at Ess-A-Bagel before. No wonder her bagel is authentic.
翌日帰国だった私はスーツケースの余ったスペースを考えながら夕食の他に2個買ってみました。
I need to fly back to Japan next day, so I only bought two extra besides my dinner, which just fits in extra space of my suitecase.

実は閉店して清掃中のところを「明日日本に帰るので…」と分けてもらったのでした。時計見ると20:15を過ぎていますね。
Actually, they were already closed but I asked them I was going back to Japan next day and they kindly opened a door. The clock in a picture shows over 20:15, doesn't it?

それにしても明るいですね。6月下旬の日の入りは20:30前後だそうですね、納得。
But it's not dark at all. The sunset time in late June is around 20:30. That's why.

信越五岳トレイルランニングレース2010も今朝ほど3:30に飯綱で終了。今は斑尾には冷たい雨が降っています。
SHINETSU FIVE MOUNTAINS TRAIL 110km was finished at 3:30 in Iizuna. Now it's raining in Madarao, Nagano.

This race adopts a pacer system.
A pacer last year becomes a runner this year.
A family member, including 2-month baby in mother's arm, wishes father's good luck tomorrow.

Krissy Moehl, Patagonia Trail Running Ambassador, comes from Washington, the U.S. too.
wa-daiko drumming jam by local girls. It was just superb! Thank you!
She gave a try with wa-daiko drumming with runners.
She is so popular and everybody won't let her go.

友人が昔住んでいたWilliamsburg。
My friend used to live in Williamsburg.
6月26日、27日の両日はWilliamsburg Walkというイベントが行われました。
Williamsburg Walk was held on both June 26th and 27th.
You can see performances here and there along a main street.
Williamsburgに昔から住む方々にお話を聞くと、ギャラリーや飲食店の数が増えてきたのはここ2〜3年のことだそうです。
I heard from those who live in Williamsburg from a long time ago that the number of art galleries, restaurants, cafe, bar... are increased rapidly for this couple of years only.
