５月１３日、武蔵野美術大学で行われた「韓紙と和紙の可能性　キム・ギョンギュン×原研哉」。

"The possibility of Korean and Japanese paper. Kim Gyong-gyun × Kenya Hara" was held at Musashino Art University on 13 May.

5월 13일, 무사시노 미술 대학에서 열린 "한지와 일본 종이의 가능성. 김경균 × 하라 겐야."

K-ARTSのキム・ギョンギュン教授が「紙の本質は水であり…」と話し始め、ソウルの漢江沿いにあるオフィスからの景色を紹介します。
"The essence of the paper is water..." Kim Gyeong Gyun, Professor at K-ARTS, started to talk with showing views from his office located by the side of Han-gang river in Seoul. 
K-ARTS 김경균 교수님께서 "종이의 본질은 물이다..."라고 얘기를 시작하셨어요.

そして「酒も水のおいしいところに…」と続けて笑いを誘います。
He continues "alcohol is also made at where the good water runs..." and makes the audience laugh. 
그리고 "술도 물이 맛있는 곳에서..."라고 계속 말씀하시고 웃음을 자아내셨어요 ㅎㅎ


韓紙は漉く時に枠の無い板を左右前後に揺らして作るので、繊維が縦横無尽に走り、丈夫な紙になる。寸法が大きいため水分を含んでいるときは紙自体の重さもある程度あり、重労働なので紙職人は男性の仕事だという。
Korean paper is made with swinging a board to (sort of) scoop the water which has raw materials melted in and the craftsman swings it from side to side. Therefore fibers run in freely which makes Korean paper more strong. The weight of the paper itself is rather heavy before it's dried out, so paper craft is man's job because it is hard work.
한지는 뜰 때 틀이 없는 판을 좌우 앞뒤로 흔들어 만들기 때문에 섬유가 종횡 무진 달리고 튼튼한 종이 되는데, 마르기 전에는 종이의 무게도 어느 정도 있어 중노동이므로 종이 장인은 남성이대요.



韓紙をつぐ時はわざと紙の目をずらして、そのつなぎ目を強くする。
When you patch two slices of papers, you miss paper grain direction a little bit on purpose, due to make its joint strong.
한지는 잇는 때, 일부러 종이 눈을 늦추어 그 이은 곳을 강하게 하대요.


縦についでいくことができるので、結果として韓紙は大きく作ることができる。
Korean paper is big. Because slices of paper can be patched vertically (and infinitely, if you want to). 
세로 이어 나갈 수 있기 때문에 한지는 크죠.

それから一人で一度に作ることのできる紙幅で最大のものは、２m４０cmにもなったそうだ。
And the largest width is even 2m 40cm which can be made at a time alone.
혼자서 한 번에 만들 수 있는 용지 폭으로 가장 큰 것은 2m 40cm있대요.

和紙も木型を揺らして漉くが、韓紙よりは薄い仕上がりに。重量も少ないので紙職人は女性が多い。
Japanese paper is also made with swinging the wooden mold, but its thickness is thinner than Korean paper. Most of the paper craftsmen are women because it's not so heavy. 
일본 종이도 목형을 흔들어 뜨지만, 한지보다는 얇은 마무리. 무게도 적기 때문에 종이 장인은 여자가 많대요.



和紙は強くするときは紙を２重にする。だから面積的にあまり大きなものはつくることができない。
If you'd like to make paper strong, you'd pile them double. So you can not make them too big.
일본 종이를 강하게 만들고 싶다면 종이를 2중으로 겹쳐요. 그래서 면책적으로 너무 큰 것은 만들 수 없대요.


書き残しておきたいのが講演の最後に出た名言。
「においもするし、音も出る。絹が500年もつところを、韓紙は1000年もつと言われている。紙こそ未来に繋がるマルチメディアです」。会場が拍手に包まれた。
Here is his quote said at the end of his lecture."Paper is a multi-media leading to the future. It smells, makes some sounds, and Korean paper would last for 1000 years, more than silk does 500 years." The audience broke into rapturous applause.
그리고 이게 강연의 마지막에 나온 명언입니다."냄새도 나고, 소리도 나온다. 실크는 500년 가질 수 있는데, 한지는 1000년이라고 말해지고 있다. 종이야말로 미래로 이어질 멀티미디어입니다." 회장이 박수에 휩싸였다.

BOOK246

そのTOKYO BOOK SCENEでも紹介されているBOOK246さんでイベントがあるということで行ってきました。
I went to an event at BOOK246 who was introduced in that TOKYO BOOK SCENE.
그 TOKYO BOOK SCENE에서도 소개 된 BOOK246에 있었던 이벤트로 갔다왔습니다.

本イベントにはあいにくの雨でしたが、多くの来場者で賑わっていました。

It was a pity that we had pouring rain, especially for a book event, but many people support this event even in this weather. 
공교롭게도 비 였지만, 특히 책의 행사에게는, 많은 방문자가 와서 활기찼습니다.


そしてイベントではやっぱり出逢いがありますね。
静岡県沼津市からはREFS（=REal Food Story）の小松代表がブースを。何年か前に静岡でお会いしたぶりでした。
There must be encounters at an event. Always.
Komatsu-san, Representative of REFS (= REal Food Story) from Numazu, Shizuoka,  is a booth. We've met at one event in Shizuoka some years ago.
그리고 이벤트에서는 꼭 만남이 있죠.
시즈오카현 누마즈시에서 REFS (= REal Food Story) 고마쓰 대표님가 오셨어요. 몇 년 전에 시즈오카에서 있었던 행사에서 만난 만이었습니다. 반가웠습니다^^




で、そのREFSさんはBaird Beerさんの沼津ラガーも販売。REFS sells Baird Beer's Numazu Lager today.
그리고 오늘 고마쓰 대표님이 Baird Beer 누마즈 라거를 판매하고 있었는데

Baird Beerさんのラベルをクールタイガーが担当させていただいております。
cooltiger has been working on their label artworks.
2003년부터 쿨타이거가 Baird Beer 레이블을 담당하고 있습니다 ㅎㅎ

REFSさんの向かいのブースでは新媒体『'Scapes』さんが京都、ミャンマーをテーマにできたてホヤホヤの創刊号を発売中。
And in front of REFS, a new magazine " 'Scapes", which was just came out, was introduced. The first issue has Kyoto and Myanmar as features. They will cover double features both inside of Japan and overseas under a theme of travel. 
REFS의 맞은 편에서는 막 나온 새 매체 " 'Scapes"가 교토, 미얀마를 테마로 한 창간호를 발매 중.

ということもあって、この本を読み終えました。
So,  I've just finished to read this book.
이런 행사가 있었서 이 책을 다 읽었습니다.

この中の何軒かに行ってみたことがあります。（５０人以下の）少人数のイベントを企画するときの指針になると思います。
I've been some of them before. It'd be raw models when you're going to plan something (say, less than 50 people) by yourselves. 
몇 군데 가보고 적이 있습니다. (50명 미만인) 작은 이벤트를 기획 할 때 기획 할 때 도움이 된다고 생각합니다..

standard bookstore

という本屋さん、スタンダードブックストアが大阪にあります。本屋さんと言っても、地下では雑貨も販売、カフェまで隣接しています。"Although we are bookstore, but don't sell just best sellers" said by Standard Bookstore is located in Osaka. Even they call themselves a bookstore, they sell miscellaneous goods at one floor under ground and also owns a cafe next to it.서점인데 베스트셀러는 두고 있지 않습니다"라고 하는 서점, Standard Bookstore가 오사카에 있습니다. 서점라고해도 지하에서 잡화도 판매하고, 카페까지 운영하고 있습니다.


ちょっと時間が過ぎてしまいましたが、その中川和彦代表がパネリストで参加されたイベントが３月１６日に大阪でありました。知人でZINEの第一人者であるBooks Talionの堺達朗さんが企画およびパネリストの一人として参加なさるということで、聴講に行ってきました。A while ago, on March 16, Kazuhiko Nakagawa, Representative of standard book store, gave us a talk. A friend of mine, Tatsuro Sakai, Books Talion and a leading person of zine,
organized this event and also attend as a panelist, I hopped on Shinkansen to attend to that event.조금 시간이 지나 버렸는데 그 나카가와 대표님이 토론자로 참가한 이벤트가 3월 16일에 있었습니다. 제 친구이며 ZINE 전문가인 Books Talion의 사카이 타츠로 씨가 기획 및 토론자로서 참가해서 청강하러 다녀 왔습니다.

コピーライターのかたちラボ・田中裕一さんが司会。Tanaka-san, copy writer, did moderator.카피라이터인 카타치 랩 타나카 씨가 사회.

第一部はスタンダードブックストアの中川和彦代表（右）とFOLK old book storeの吉村祥さんの対談。大先輩に胸を借りながら対談が進みました。The first part is one-to-one talk by Kazuhiko Nakagawa (right), Representative of Standard bookstore, and Yoshimura Sho, FOLK old book store. Yoshimura-san, who is late 20s, listened to Nakagawa-san with full of respect.제 1부는 standard book store 나카가와 대표님(오른쪽)돠 FOLK old book store 요시무라 쇼 대표님. 20대 후반인 요시무라 대표님은 나카무라 대표님이 하는 말을 많은 존경을 가지면서 들어 있습니다.

第二部はaunの森口耕次さん、そして堺達朗さんも加わってのクロストーク。Sakai-san and Tatsuro Moriguchi, aun, joined at the second part.제 2부는 모리구치 커지 씨, aun, 하고 사카이 씨도 참여했습니다.

写真は第２部開始直前にパネリストの皆さんにビールを取りに走る吉村サン。Yoshimura-san sprinted to get some beer to everyone of panelists just before it got started.사진은 제 2부 시작 직전에 토론자 여러분에게 맥주를 주러 달린 요시무라 씨^^

本屋として、皆に書籍に関心を持ってもらうには、というテーマだったのですが、その中でなるほどと思ったことをいくつか。A theme was that how we make everyone interested in book to everyone as a bookstore. And a couple of things what I thought about there.서점으로서 모두가 책에 관심을 관심을 가지기 위해서러고 하는 주제였는데 그 중에 그렇구나~라고 한 것을 몇 개.


参加者からのQ&Aで「書籍を買わずに写真だけ撮っていく行為についてどう思いますか？」という問いに、中川代表が「その本は所詮撮れば済む（＝自分でお金を払って所有したいというレベルまでいかない）という程度のものだったということ」と拍子抜けするくらいの回答。At Q&A. "What do you think about people only take pictures of books without buying them?" Nakagawa-san said "Those books are not worth to buy for them. That's all."Q&A에서 "책을 사지 않고 사진만 찍어 가는 행위에 대해 어떻게 생각하십니까?"라는 질문에 나카가와 대표님 "그 책은 결국 찍으면 충분이다. (=스스로 돈을 지불하고 소유하고 싶다 라는 수준까지 없다)라는 정도의 것이죠"라고 맥 빠짐 할 정도의 답변...!

パネリストの皆さんが中川代表の発言に聞き入っています。All panelists forgot to speak and just listened to Nakagawa-san.토론자 여러분이 나카가와 대표의 발언에 듣고 있습니다.

それから「店員が『写真撮らないでください』と監視員みたいにウロウロしている本屋に行きたい？　行きたくないでしょう。それよりも、どんな本を置けばお客さんに来てもらえるか、という点に神経を使いたい」とも。会場は万雷の拍手。He also said, "Do you want to go to a bookstore where clerks are walking around as guards and 'do not take pictures!' Hell, no. We'd like to think of what kind of books we sell to have more people to come to our bookstore." We almost did standing ovation.그리고 점원이 "사진 찍지 마세요"라고 하면서 감시원처럼 우왕좌왕하고있는 서점에 가고 싶으신가요? 아니죠. 그것보다 어떤 책을 두면 손님이 올 수 있는지 이런 게 신경을 쓰고 싶다."  회장에서는 우레와 같은 박수!


そして以前書店勤務もなさっていた堺さんが「本は（書店の棚に）置いた後に触ってあげる（＝配置する場所を考えて再々移動してあげる）と売れる」。And Sakai-san, who works for a bookstore before said "if you 'touch (=thinking of where would be the best for it and move it around)' books after they are located at the first place, they are sold fast."그리고 이전 서점에서 근무도 했던 사카이 씨가 "책은 (서점 선반에)두기 후에 자주 만​​져 주면 (= 배치 할 위치를 여러번 이동 준다)와 잘 팔린다"라고.

置いたら置きっぱなし、ではなく、常に気にかける。
これは何についても言えるような気がします。何かを作ってから、何かを達成してからがこそ正念場、ということ。Once it's placed, it's end. Not like that. Always care about it.
I think that we could say it to anything. We'd have the first crucial stage after you make something or achieving something. Don't you think?두면 끝, 아니다. 항상 신경을 쓰는 거죠.
이것은 무엇에 대해 말할 수 있는 것 같습니다. 무언가를 만들고 나서, 무언가를 달성하고 있는 후가 중요한 것.

Sera, Hiroshima

世羅。Sera. 세라.

広島県民なら世羅といえば二十世紀梨のほうが有名かしら？　全国高校駅伝大会強豪校として知られる広島県立世羅高等学校のある、広島県世羅郡世羅町。今年の２月、その世羅町でエクスカーションに参加する機会がありました。
If you are Hiroshima residents, the 21 Century pear is more familiar with you? Sera-cho, Sera-gun, Hiroshima-ken. Hiroshima prefectural Sera high school is known as outstanding player school at national high school ekiden. In this February, I had a chance to participate an excursion at Sera-cho. 
히로시마 현민이라면 세라라고 하면 20세기 배가 더 유명해요? 전국 고교 역전 마라톤 대회강호교로서 알려지는 히로시마현립 세라 고등학교가 있는 히로시마현 세라군 세라초. 올해 2월, 그 세라초에서 있었던 익스커션(excursion)에 참가하는 기회가 있었습니다. 

早朝、霜が降りて地面が堅い氷点下５度の中、陸上部の練習に参加させていただいたのもいい思い出です。
Now it's a good memory that we run with a running club at Sera high school in the early morning when frost gets down and a ground got frozen because it was -5C.
이른 아침 서리가 내려서 지면이 단단한 영하 5도 속에 육상부 연습에 참가한 것도 좋은 주억입니다^^;;

行って初めて知った、ランニングに関する観光資源もありました。ですが、まだまだ全国的には知れ渡っていません。これからですね、西原部長！
가서 처음으로 알게 된, 런닝에 관한 관광 자원도 있었습니다. 그러나, 아직 전국적으로는 널리 알려져 있지 않습니다. 이제부터이네요, 니시하라 부장님!   
I got known some tourist attractions related with running only after visiting Sera. Though, it has not been known widely nationally yet. We have lots of things to do,  Manager Nishihara!

その１つ、世界の有名ランナーの使用したシューズが奉納されている修善院。
Shuzen-in is a temple which famous runners from the world dedicated their used shoes.그 하나, 세계적인 유명한 러너가 사용한 슈즈가 봉납되고 있는 슈젠인. 

韋駄天様が奉られています。Skanda is deified. 
이다텐님께서 모셔지고 있습니다. 

神田住職もバリバリの現役ランナーです。Monk Kanda is also an active runner. 간다 주지님도 활발한 현역 러너이십니다. 

現在発売中の「ランニングマガジン・クリール 5月号 Courir No.124」で樋口編集長が直々に、『駅伝のまちを訪ねる 世羅ランニング紀行』にて世羅の魅力を詳細に書かれていらっしゃいます。Higuchi-san, editor in chief, writes about charm of Sera at "running magazine Courir May issue No.124." Now it's available at book store. 이재 발매중인 "런닝 매거진·구리루 5월호 Courir No. 124"에서 히구치 편집장님께서 직접, "역전 마라톤의 마을을 방문한다. 세라 런닝 기행"에서 세라의 매력을 상세하게 쓰셨습니다.

btw, this trail has been introduced in TRM No. 9 by Toru Higashi, Mihara, Hiroshima.근데 이 도레일은 TRM9호에서 미하라시에 살고 있는 히가시 도오루 씨에게도 기고 받습니다. 

えぇ、誰ですか？　「全国トレランコースガイド１００」なのに広島県率が高いなんて言ってる方は（苦笑）What? Who is saying that this magazine is supposed to be "the national trail running course guide 100," but Hiroshima has such a high rate out of 100? ;^)음, 누구세요?  전국 도레란 코스 가이도 100인데 히로시마현율이 높다니 말하는 분은 (쓴웃음) ㅋㅋㅋ

Design Project for the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games

5月26日日曜日まで、眺めのいい部屋がある東京国立近代美術館２階で開催中の「東京オリンピック1964 デザインプロジェクト」。
"Design Project for the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games" is held on the second floor at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo, until May 26, Sunday. There is a room with a good view, btw.5월 26일 일요일까지 도쿄국립근대미술관 2층에서 개최중인 "도쿄 올림픽 1964 디자인 프로젝트." 그런데 거기서 경치가 좋은 방이 있어요 ㅎㅎ

 昨日４月１４日、郵便学者の内藤陽介先生が東京五輪関連の切手に関しての講演で、どうして柔道が最初の［オリンピック記念切手の］第１集に入らなかったかとか、なぜ目打ち（切手を切るときのミシン目）が絵柄とずれているかなど、興味深いトリビア満載、切手好き、印刷好きにはたまらない小１時間でした。
On April 14, Mr. Yosuke Naito had a lecture about stamps associated Tokyo Olympics. Why judo was not chosen as the first edition [of commemorative stamps Olympic], or why an art work is off with dot lines to cut etc., so many trivia and if you are stamp lover or print lover, you won't get resisted. 1 hour just flies.
어제 4월 14일, 우편 학자님 이신 나이토 요스케 선생님께서 도쿄 올림픽 관련 우표에 대한 강연을 하셨어요. 왜 유도가 첫 번째 올림픽 기념 우표 제1집에 들어 가지 않았든지, 왜 내우치(우표를 자를 때 쓸 구멍의 선)이 그림과 비뚤어져 있는지 등 재미있는 trivia 가독, 우표를 좋아하는 사람, 인쇄를 좋아하는 사람이라면 아주 즐거운 한시간이었습니다^^

A room with a view

映画のタイトルのような部屋が本当にありました。
I found a room which has a name just like a movie title.
영화 타이틀처럼 이름을 가진 방이 정말로 있었습니다.
