地元の学校の体育館でウェルカムパーティーです。

a welcome party at a local gymnasium.

では、ご馳走の数々をご紹介しましょう。

Let me introduce the feast.

地のお野菜の煮物から、

Simmered local vegetables,

ほうれん草のごまあえ、

spinach with sesame seeds,

じゃがいもの味噌汚しに

potatoes smeared miso

締め豆腐。

Shime-tofu (Shime means tighten), simmered tofu which excess water was removed.

大学芋や

sweet potatoes with syrup

金時豆。

kintoki sweet beans

大豆に

little sweet soy beans

卯の花。

u-no-hana, bean curd refuse.

焼き魚（これは紅葉鮎でしょうか？）。

grilled fish (is it momiji freshwater trout? See that red lines)

すいとん汁に

suiton dumpling soup

梅の漬け物。

Pickled plum.

かぶら漬けもありますよ。

Turnip pickles, too.

「ここで採れたものばかりで、私たちが作りました」。食生活推進評議会の皆さま〜！　ご馳走さまでした、本当においしかったです。

"We cooked it all with local vegetables," members from a local diet promotion committee.　Thank you very very much for everything, it was SO good!

そして甘味いろいろ。

And local sweet after meals.

ちなみにすだれ羊羹はこんな感じです。結構堅くて、私としては結構好きなのですが。

btw, this is sudare (bamboo blind shape) yokan. It is rather hard, but I kinda like it.

何かこの食感に似た、砂糖でコーティングしてある半生羊羹で拍子木の形してピンクとか白とかのお茶うけなかったでしたっけ…　そうそう、「やどりぎ」！（あー、すっきりした）

Do you know Japanese sweet which has a similar texture of this and it is white or pink color to go along with tea. Sugar-coated... yes, it's yadorigi! I had it when I was little.

そして、これは…ッ！？

And this is...

はい、イワナの骨酒（三破石）です。ちょっとコワくて飲めませんでした…

Sake Sambaseki with char’s bone soaked. It was too much for me before a race, so I skipped it...

でもご当地の食材を使った食事で大会を迎えることができるって、嬉しいですね。何だかその地の自然から力をもらえた気がして！：）

But it's nice to welcome a race day with dinner made by local products, don't you think? I feel like to get really force from a nature in that area!

Race: Kanna Mountain Run and Walk

この週末は神流（かんな）マウンテンラン＆ウォークに行って来ました。一番短い23kmを走りながらの取材です。

I went to Kanna Mountain Run and Walk in Gunma. I run 23km, the shortest course, with all other runners for a report.

樹々はすでに紅葉しており、息を飲むほど綺麗でした。

Tree leaves turn colour and it was breathtaking.

こんなところも何カ所かありました。

There are a couple of streams like this.

コースの後半は特に落ち葉でフカフカです。

Leaves covered the ground of a later part of a race course.

これは朴（ほう）の木の葉でしょうか、Kさん、Nさん？

Is it a magnolia obovata leaf, K san, M san, who are guru of a vegetation of mountains.

Twitter経由でKさんより回答が来ました。

I got a reply from K san by Twitter.

＞枯れ葉ですか～。難しいんだけどね。たぶんホオノキと思われます。カシワ、ナラガシワも葉の大きさ、形が似ています。

> Fallen leaves... mmm, it's tough. I guess it's magnolia obovata leaf. Sizes and shapes of leaves of Daimyo Oak and Quercus aliena are also similar.

スーパーロングがスタートした6:00はヘッドライトを点すランナーさんもいたほど暗く寒かったのですが、日中はいいお天気に恵まれました。
The super long course started at 6:00 and it was still dark and cold. But it was a fine day and Sun comes out like this throughout a day.

この写真を撮影したのが11:49でしたので、数値的にはこんな感じ。

I took this picture at 11:49. A temperature was nearly 15C.
