広島で情報誌と言えば必ず名前のあがるこの媒体、私も広島にいるときはよう読んどりました。1985年創刊、2009年に広島の働く女性に向けた媒体としてリニューアル。

When it comes to information paper in Hiroshima, you won't miss to hear a name of Wink. When I was in Hiroshima, I read it often too. It's been produced since 1985 and was renewed in 2009 to focus on females in 20's and early 30's who are working in Hiroshima.

そのWinkでは毎号、ひろしまジン大学さんと読者をつなぐページ「こちらひろしまジン大学女子部！」があります。今号では来月11月のトレラン講座のご紹介をいただきました。コーディネータ兼共同講師のポールさんもご登場されています。p147ページをチェック！　

Wink has a page which features an event of hirosima jin university every issue, called "We are hirosima jin university's girls' club!" This issue introduces an up coming trail running class in November. Coordinator/co-teacher Paul also saying hello with smile on that page. Check page 147!

この日曜日はいよいよヴェニスマラソン開催日です。先日、直前ラン・イベントでお会いした皆さ〜ん、楽しんで来てくださいね！　特に最後の5kmの景色を！

The 25th Venice Marathon will be held on this Sunday. Those who I met at a running event the other day, hope you all have fun! Especially scenes in the last 5km!

その練習会で日本事務局の東海林さんがカバンから取り出したのがこちら。

This is Jelly Belly's sport supplement.

公式HPには数種類の味と2種類の特別版（炭水化物、電解質、カフェイン含有など）が紹介されています。

There are several different kinds of tastes and two extreme ones which contains carbs, electrolytes, caffeine, etc.

イメージ画像のせいかもしれませんが、何かすごい走れそうですね。

It may be because of this image, but it seems to work very well.

日本ではお菓子の方をゼリービーンズ、ジェリービーンズと呼んでいたりもしますね。

春日井製菓は「ゼリービンス」という商品名で発売しています。

コーンスターチにゼリーを流して作って行くそうです。詳細はこちら。

We call that regular sweets jelly beans, don't we?

Kasugai Seika produces this sweet as jelly beans.

They make jelly beans to pour jello into cornstarch mold. Details are here.

最近リュスティックという名前を覚えたばかりなもので、それを選んでみました。

Recently I learn a term, Rustique, so I chose their Rustique.

お菓子も販売されています。

They sell sweets too.

さてさてどんな感じでしょうか…

Let's see how it'd be...

リュスティックとはフランス語で「素朴な」という意味だそうです。

作る時にあまりこねないので気泡がそのまま生地に閉じ込められています。

Rustique means "rustic, country" in French.

Its dough keeps air bubbles a lot because you don't knead this as much as you do with other breads.

やっぱり中はモチっとしていましたよ。

As they say, its inside was very chewy.

駅からすぐの河原をちょっと走っても往復で4kmにはなりますね。

It'd be about 4km if you run round trip at a bank from a station.

先日の信越五岳のコース沿いで見かけたのですが、何の実でしょう？

I saw this along a course of Shinetsu Gogaku race. Does anyone know what this is?

TBR26-1 Yohga club

先日エイ出版社さんに打ち合わせで訪ねたのですが、その帰りに寄ったのがこちら。いつも次に他の打ち合わせがあったりして寄れなくて、実はずっと気になっていました。
On a way back from Ei Publisher after a meeting, I came by this bakery. I've been waiting for a chance to come by to buy some breads there.

普段はこのショーケースにいろいろ入っているそうなのですが、もう18時前でしたので…

There are several breads in this showcase, but I dropped by nearly 18:00, so...

「やっぱり一番人気はレーズンブレッドです！　ずっしりと重いですよ」と中島さん。この後私も持ってみましたが、はい、持った瞬間ズシっときます。

"The most popular one is raisins bread! Please hold to see how heavy this is," Nakajima-san said. I held it as she said, and yes, she is right. It is HEAVY.

でもバックパックは資料でいっぱい…　ずしっとしたレーズンパンを入れるスペースもなかったのでこちらを購入。

My backpack was full with books and references so no space for this heavily dense raisins bread, so I chose...

かぼちゃぱん！

Pumpkin bread instead.

なんだか花のようなライオンのような。

Looks kinda a flower or lion even. Don't you think?

先日のフランスかぼちゃとはまた違い、しっとりとしたかぼちゃあんです。

This pumpkin is difference from the other pumpkin one in Jinbo-cho. This is more like a puree.

併設のカフェ＆ダイニングを使用するお客さんがぞくぞく来店されていました。

Customers who have a dinner at cafe & restaurant next to a bakery came one after another.

黄色の印が用賀倶楽部。近くには春に桜も綺麗な砧（きぬた）公園もありますね。ぐるぐる走ると4km弱くらいにはなりますよ。

The yellow dot is a bakery. There is Kinuta Park near by, famous with sakura during Spring, and it'd be about 4km if you run around it.

先日、アーキウォーク広島のイベントガイドのため帰省した際に、11月のひろしまジン大学イベントのため、コーディネーター／講師のポール・ウォルシュさんと打ち合わせしました。

I came back to Hiroshima for being a guide for an event organized by Architecture Walk Hiroshima last weekend. I used that chance to meet Paul Walsh, coordinator and lecturer, to talk about details for an event collaborated by hiroshima jin university this November.

The building you can see beyond him is Rest house in Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

前日の下見、当日の時間割、保険などいろいろ擦り合わせをしました。

We talked about check on the previous day, time schedule, and insurance, etc.

ポールさんは小さいころからご両親や叔父さまとよく走っていらしたそうです。広島のトレイルもよくご存知で、今回の候補地も彼があらかじめ選択してくれたものを私がこの夏に走ってみました。

Since he was little, he run with his parents or uncle together. He knows trails in Hiroshima very much so that picked up a couple of promising courses first, then I did those trials this summer.

大学の先生もなさっているポールさんですが、クラブでDJをされたり、GetHiroshima.comという情報サイト（紙媒体もあり）も運営され、多方面でご活躍です。

He is also Professor at University, DJ at club, manages information site called GetHiroshima.com ..., very active person.

来月の第3土曜日、11月20日にひろしまジン大学さんとのコラボでトレイルラン・ミニ講座を広島にて開催することになりました。

I'll have a mini class of trail running with hiroshima-jin university on November 20, Saturday, in Hiroshima.

開催場所はこの夏に下見をした宗箇山です。

A lecture will be held in Soko yama where I did a rehearsal this summer.
