チャイナタウンを歩いていて偶然見つけた近日オープンの本屋+カフェ。

I found soon-to-be-open bookstore + cafe in the Chinatown by chance.

차이나 타운을 걷다가 우연히 잦안 근일 오픈할 서점+카페.

草根書房／Grassroots book room

２０年間別の場所で経営されていた書店を３人のリンさんが引き継ぎました。

The original bookstore has been run in another place for 20 years and three Lim's three took over it.

20년간 다른 장소에서 처리 운영되고 있던 서점을 3명의 임 씨가 맡았습니다.

奥のベーカリー／カフェ担当のリンさん。今年５月まで聯合早報のジャーナリストでした。現在もコラムを寄稿されているとのこと。

Mr. Lim is in charge of the bakery and cafe space. He was a journalist of Lianhe Zaobao until May this year and still contributes some columns. 

3명 임 씨가 경영하고 있습니다. 가게 안쪽에 있는 베이커리/카페 담당하신 임 씨. 올해 5월까지 연합 조보 기자님이었대요.

もう一人のリンさんはいらっしゃいませんでしたが、今年１２月にオープニングパーティを予定。店内の壁は定期的な展示用にアーティストに開放なさるそうです。

Another Mr. Lim was not there, but they will have the grand opening party in this December. The wall of the store will be available for artists to have regular exhibitions.

다른 임 씨는 안 계겼는데 올해 12월에 오프닝 파티를 할 예정이대요. 가게의 벽은 정기적인 전시 공간으로 아티스트에게 제공될대요.

地元の友人によると、「チャイナタウンで一番のコーヒーだよ！」とのこと。

練乳入りコーヒーは確かに甘いですが、こちらの気候に慣れてくるにつれ、この味にも慣れてくるのが不思議です。
According to my local designer friend, "Their coffee is shiok!"
Coffee with condensed milk is certainly too sweet, but as you get used to this climate, you'd get used to to this taste somehow.
거기에 사는 디자이너 친구에 따르면 "차이나 타운에서 가장 맛있는 커피이야!".

연유가 들어 있는 커피는 물론 달콤한이지만, 이곳의 기후에 익숙해지면서 이 맛에도 익숙해진 게 신기하다.

BooksActually

シンガポールについてすぐに向かったのがBooksActually。

I headed to BooksActually right after arriving in Singapore.

전 싱가포르에 도착한 후 바로 BooksActually으로 향했습니다.

BooksActually is an independent bookstore which specialises in fiction and literature.

픽션과 문학을 전문으로 하고 있는 서점입니다.

Kennyさん、スタッフ、ライター、出版関係者たちのインタビュー。 40分強ですが、店のコンセプト、２番目の店の開店と閉店、現在地への移転…　など、盛りだくさんです。

Interview with Kenny, staff members, writers, people from publishing companies. It is a little over 40 minutes, but has full of contents -- the concept of shop, opening and closing the second store, when finding the current location... you'd enjoy to watch it.

Kenny 대표님, 직원, 작가, 출판 관계자들의 인터뷰. 40분 정도이지만, 가게의 컨셉, 두 번째 가게의 개점과 폐점, 현재 위치로 이전... 등 푸짐해요.

Singlish（シングリッシュ）はシンガポールの日常で話される英語。その辞典です。語尾につける「lah（ラ）」は本当によく耳にしました。

Singlish is spoken English everyday in Singapore. This is its dictionary. I've heard "lah" really often at the end of a word or sentence.

Singlish은 싱가포르 일상에서 말한 영어. 그 사전입니다. 어미에 붙이는 "lah(라)"를 정말 잘 들었습니다^^

A Design Film Festival 2014のための初シンガポール。移動は地下鉄、バス、タクシーと使い分けました。

I used subway, bus, and taxi while I was in Singapore for Design Film Festival 2014. 첫싱가포르. 이동은 지하철, 버스, 택시를 가려 썼다.  

地下鉄。Subway. 지하철. 

スタンダード・チケット。保証金S$1、購入より30日以内に保証金返金可。

Standard ticket. Deposit is S$1, which is refundable within 30 days from the date of purchase.  

스탠다드 티켓. 보증금 S$1, 구매 30일 이내에 보증금을 환불 가능.  

期限なし、チャージできるプリペイド「ezlink」（下側のカード）も後ほど購入。保証金S$5。

I also bought "ezlink" (lower) which you can top it up. Deposit is S$5.

기한없이 충전 할 수 있는 선불 "ezlink"(아래)도 나중에 구입. 보증금 S$5.  

柔軟剤の香り漂うラッピング広告車両も。
I happened to get on a wrapping advertising car. It was scent of softener in a car. Really.

バス。Bus. 버스.

バス停留所の表示がバス内にないので（！）、次の方法のいずれかで目的地下車。

１）運転手か他の乗客に前もって尋ねる。

２）たまに車内に置いてあるバス路線図パンフレットを頼る。

３）ドアが閉まるまでに、停留所に書いてある本当に本当に小さい文字を車内から速攻で読む。
There is no sign shown inside of a bus about which bus stop would be next, so we need to choose one of them to get off a bus.

1) Ask a driver or other passengers for help in advance.

2) Rely on the bus route map brochure that is only sometimes put in the car.
3) Read really really small characters on a bus stop board super quick from the car before the door is closed.
버스 정류장의 안내가 버스내에 없기 때문에 (!) 다음 방법 중 하나 고르고 목적지 하차하십시오.
1) 운전자 또는 다른 승객에게 미리 물어 본다.
2) 가끔 차내에 두고 있는 버스 노선도를 쓴다.
3) 문이 닫힐 때까지 정류장에 써있는 정말 작은 문자를 차내에서 빨리 읽는다. 

ちなみに初バスは７つ停留所を乗り越しました（苦笑）。

FYI, I past seven stops as my first bus ride.

덧붙여서 제 첫 버스는 7 개 정류장을 지나쳤습니다...

タクシー。Taxi. 택시.

初乗りはS$3前後。青、もしくは黄色のタクシーが最大手ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited運営によるもの。 ２万台以上を有する（2014年9月15日現在）。
Basic fare starts around S$3. Blue or yellow is owned by the largest operation company, ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited and the number is a more than 20,000 (as of 15 September, 2014) .

기본 요금은 S$3쯤 부터. 파란색 또는 노란색 택시가 최대 ComfortDelGro Corporation Limited 운영하는 것. 2만대 이상이 있대요 (2014년 9월 15일 현재).

A Design Film Festival 2014

９月５〜14日、シンガポールで開催のA Design Film Festival 2014。

今年のオープニングは日本の山中有監督作品「白姓（はくしょう）」でした。
"Hakusho," directed by Yamanaka Yu, was the opening film of this year.

上映後のQ&Aから１つ。
Q：「白姓（はくしょう）」*という概念はノン・ジャパニーズには分かりきれないのではないか？　
* 自分を百姓とよぶのはおこがましい、百姓にはなりきれない、という意味で一筆少ない漢字「白」を用いて作品の登場人物が作り出した言葉。作品中でもこの造語の意味の紹介はある。
Ａ：自分の作品がどこで公開されるかは気にしていない。というのも、結局自分の視点でしか物事を見れないからだ。客観的に見ようとしても、どうしても主観が入ってしまう。でも自分が［主観で］感じたことだからこそ、伝えやすいと思う。

I introduce one question from the Q&A after the screening. 

Q: "Hakusho" * that "Shirosei it (will White Paper)": Q concept or not than not be transparent to the non-Japanese? 

* The word that one of characters in the film created. Because he thinks to call himself 百姓/Hyaku-sho is rather arrogant, so minus one stroke from 百 which is 白. There is the explanation of what that means in the film too.

A: I don't worry about too much in which country my film is seen or released. 

Because, I see things only through my own perspective after all. Even if I'd try to see it objectively, it could be subjectively. But I believe that it would make myself clear more.

상영후 한 Q&A에서 하나 소개한다.
Q: "하쿠쇼" * 라고 하는 개념은 논·재패니즈에는 다 알 수 없는 것이 아닐까?
*  자신을 백성/百姓과 부르는 것은 건방지고, 완벽한 백성을 될 수 없다, 라고 하는 의미로 일필 적은 한자 白을 이용해서 작품에 나온 등장 인물이 만들어 낸 말. 영화에서도 무엇을 의미인지에 대한 설명이 있다.
A: 자신의 작품이 어디에서 공개될지는 걱정하지 않고 있다. 왜냐하면 결국 자신의 시점에서밖에 사물을 볼 수 없기 때문이다. 객관적으로 보려고해도 아무래도 주관이 들어가버린다. 그러나 자신이 [주관으로] 느낀 것이기 때문에, 오히려 쉽게 전할 수 있다고 생각한다.
