It is Disaster Prevention Day today. It is enacted related with the Great Kanto Earthquake occurred on this day in 1923.

After 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, I checked my survival kit and bought a small radio which can be charged by hand crank. Some of them are overlapped with items what I bring to a mountain as an emergency kit.
A radio station J-WAVE just said that there is a list of a survival kit at Disaster Reduction and Human Renovation Institution. A list is divided as the one for the first phase when right after we have a disaster and the other for the second phase when we come back to home after we evacuate once.
Oops, I ate CalorieMate the other day when I was really hungry between meals. I'd better to re-fill it in my backpack...!
