To make myself cool down, I walk slowly.
Found this (tea flavor kashi-pan) at a kiosk. Very Shizuoka indeed. [Shizuoka is the most famous town to produce Japanese tea]

From Shizuoka station, walk along R1 until hit Tsutsuji-dori street, then make a left. It's bit complicated with many small back alleys. When I was looking for a street number on a sign on a pole there there is the bakery ad on it.

The origin of the name PUPAN is "pure+bread (pan)," a staff member says. The baker, Kawamoto-san, had trained in Germany when he was in his 20s.
I ask to take a picture of him, but again, he is another shy Shizuokan! Here are some shots of his breads, instead.

The most popular one is this "mame-pan (beans bread)."

And this is fried mame-pan.

Mmmm, a tough choice...

I choose this big fig-shaped bread. 50% rye + 50% wheat and organic figs in it (¥390).

1.3km, in total 41.7km.
